Actividad Científica

 

Líneas de Investigación:

 

  1. Splice site recognition. We study how 5’ splice site recognition by U1 snRNP is assisted by auxiliary factors and sequences. Also how proofreading activities contribute to 3’ splice site recognition by U2AF.
  2. Regulation of alternative splice site choice. We study factors and mechanisms involved in alternative splicing regulation of Fas and Pax6 pre-mRNAs.
  3. Cellular programs of splicing regulation. We develop and use splicing-sensitive microarrays to study global changes in alternative splicing and regulatory factors.
