1) Role of the innate immune system in driving the autoimmune T cell cascade in autoimmune diseases (Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and psoriasis): Toll Like Receptors function.
2) Intracellular signaling events in T and B cells caused by altered receptors structure, modulation of membrane clustering at the immunological synapse, lipid-raft distribution of signaling molecules, in SLE and other inflammatory diseases.
3) Protein expression profile studies and proteomic approaches (2-DE gels, MALDI-TOF and MALDI-TOF/TOF MS) in plasma, PBMCs and T lymphocytes from SLE and other autoimmune diseases.
